Wood Figure
Q:
What does “figure” or “highly figured” mean?
A:
Figuring is a reference to the amount of character in the wood grain. Walnut for instance has anywhere from very straight grain or “no figure” to “highly figured” which is swirls and waves in the grain
Many of the highly figured pieces almost appear 3d when they are moved under a light.

Pitchpipe Internals
Q:
What kind of pitch pipe do you use?
A:
We use the internal brass reed plate from a Kratt Chromatic Master Key C-C pitchpipe.
Wood Types
Q:
What kind of wood do you use?
A:
Our standard paring is to use Walnut on the top and Hard Maple on the bottom.
Other options are possible assuming the wood is readily available. If it is exotic and hard to source, it will likely cost more.
Personalization
Q:
Do you personalize the pitchpipes?
A:
Absolutely! Depending on what is desired, the cost is typically +$10
There is a ‘Customization’ option on each product page that allow you to enter the text you want and select from the available fonts displayed.
One line of font is typically best but in some cases it works better to flow into two rows.
If you have a special requirement, reach out via the contact form and we can discuss possible options. Contact
